Let’s talk about The Park Hyatt, Dubai Creek Resort. There’s little wonder that this hotel is a much-loved favourite for so many – a serene lush green sanctuary tucked away in the heart of the city yet a tranquil world away from the urban bustle.
While it may not have the ocean waves, the stunning creekside location is just as relaxing and gorgeous as any beachside retreat – perfect especially for the summer months when the resort is offering families an escape to the ‘Creekside Riviera’, an all-encompassing stay that rivals any Mediterranean getaway. This special package maximises your stay with plenty of extras including early check-in, late checkout and complimentary breakfast (by the way, this is one of the best hotel breakfasts we’ve ever had – a very special mention to the staff who have the patience of saints and the biggest smiles when greeted by 3 hungry children at the pancake station!). A room upgrade further sweetens the deal, little ones under the age of six dine for free and parents can indulge in pampering sessions at the Amara Spa with a 10% discount, while everyone enjoys exclusive privileges 20% off dining at selected restaurants – hooray!
From the moment we were greeted by the ever-smiling doorman, we knew we were in for a treat. Every interaction with the hotel staff was a delight, their warmth and hospitality making us feel truly special. The Park Hyatt service is on another level completely and everyone goes out of their way to make you feel welcome and happy.
Our poolside rooms (facing the stunning twiggy lagoon which overlooks the creek) were a haven of understated luxury. Floor-to-ceiling windows framed views of the water, while the private terraces beckoned for lazy afternoons on loungers under palm trees. We arrived to beautifully presented goodies in the form of cakes and sweet treats – just one of the many little touches and extras that The Park Hyatt does so well.
The resort has a number of pools, each with its own distinct character depending on what takes your mood! Twiggy Family is a kid-friendly lagoon with endless space for plenty of splashing and a beach-club vibe (complete with sand – the design is stunning and so clever!). This was our favourite sunset spot for a dip, before wandering the tree-lined path back to our rooms for pre-dinner prep. The Clubhouse pool’s diving platforms were the perfect way to keep kids busy and having fun while us adults lounged and watched – while the Amara pool, surrounded by lush gardens and in-set palm trees was cool and shaded even when the temperature climbed. With whirlpools in each corner, a giant chessboard and table tennis area for shady play and giant floaty beanbags, this was definitely our absolute fave!
Beyond the pools, there was a world of fun to be had throughout our stay! As part of the Creekside Riviera offer, you not only get complimentary access to mini golf and padel courts but also a family padel lesson. Too hot to play? Not at all! We headed to padel at sunset and got an hour of family fun – yes it was a little sticky but chilled towels and cold water are on offer to keep you cool and the aforementioned pools are the perfect post-padel stop! And a morning of mini-golf had us all laughing while trying our best to get the balls in or even near each of the holes (and not halfway across the resort!). Again, there’s no denying that it’s hot in Dubai over the summer months but getting outdoors is totally doable when there’s shade and refreshments galore!
If you’re more about indoor fun then the summer package includes culinary workshops for all ages. Think chocolate making and cookie decorating for the kids and a Thai cooking class and cocktail masterclass for the adults. We tried and loved them all – my husband and I are now expert Old-Fashioned mixologists while our fridge is stocked with enough chocolate to last months (if the kids can manage to keep away from it!). Every completed activity (including those at the Cave Kids Club for kids aged 3-12) earns a stamp, and a full stamp card enters you into a grand prize draw. The ultimate reward? An Elara Villa staycation, an unforgettable kids’ birthday party, or a family adventure to LEGOLAND.
And just when you think the whole experience can’t get any better, the dining options put the icing on the cake. The resort’s collection of restaurants are scattered throughout the property and offer everything from award-winning international cuisine to light bites – we absolutely loved heading out somewhere new each night, just like wandering through a little village to find your next culinary gem.
Whether you’re seeking relaxation, adventure, or simply a change of scenery, the Park Hyatt Dubai Creek delivers. It’s the ultimate urban escape, a place where the city’s energy is tempered by the tranquility of resort life. Our family escape was nothing short of magical and so much more than just a weekend getaway – a full holiday packed into a few days. The Park Hyatt Dubai Creek has stolen a piece of our hearts and we can’t wait to return.
